Tru by Hilton Grand Rapids Airport

We didn't stay there, just parked our car in their long-term parking lot. The lady at the front desk (didn't get her name, unfortunately) was the nicest person I've dealt with this year and maybe last year, too. Whoever hired her should pat themselves on the back because people like her are rare indeed.

Very close to the airport and good service. Very friendly and accommodating staff. The rooms are typical Tru rooms, however sound proofing is non existent. I heard every footstep above me, the shower from the room next door, elevator dings and hallway conversation. The breakfast is typical, basic and available for something quick.

I truly found my home away from home at Tru by Hilton Grand Rapids! As a frequent work traveler, I’ve stayed at this location consistently for the past two years—visiting monthly, and sometimes multiple times a month. Every single stay has been wonderful. The hotel is always extremely clean and smells amazing. The amenities are fun (I love the pool table in the lobby!), and the bright, colorful atmosphere makes it such a welcoming place to walk into after a long day. What really sets this location apart, though, is the team. They have been incredibly hospitable, and I’m so grateful to stay somewhere that makes you feel genuinely welcomed and valued every time. Special shoutout to Abdallah and Jada for always going above and beyond. Abdallah was the first team member I met—he helped me get signed up for Hilton Honors, and now, two years later, I’m officially a Diamond member! It was bittersweet spending my last stay here before moving to Chicago for work. I had the privilege of seeing both Jada and Abdallah one last time, and they surprised me with an edible arrangement and a heartfelt card before I left—it absolutely made my day. Thank you, Tru team—it’s been real I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area!

**Great for Groups – Solid Stay with Minor Drawbacks** We stayed here for my daughter’s tournament, and it was a great choice for groups. **Pros:** **Convenient Location** – Right across from Copper’s Hawk, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. **Good Breakfast Options** – A solid variety to start the day. **Work-Friendly Spaces** – Plenty of office space in the lobby for those needing to get work done. **Modern & Clean** – The hotel is well-maintained, and our room was spotless. **Great for Groups** – The lobby is spacious and ideal for meetings or hanging out. **Cons:** **Room Limitations** – No coffee machine or microwave, and the space felt rather small. **Noise Issues** – Motorcycles from the street and noise from neighboring rooms were noticeable. **Housekeeping on Request** – No daily cleaning service unless you call for it. **Early Pool Closure** – The pool closed at 6 PM during our stay, which was disappointing for evening relaxation. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and would recommend it for group trips, though a few upgrades (like better soundproofing and extended pool hours) would make it even better.

I understand its winter but one of the handicapped parking spots was used to pile snow up and only 3 spots but 6 for diamond members of Hilton seems a little much. This was our 1st ever staying at one of these. It was great otherwise.

Room was very clean, convenient to airport. No carpeting so guests above you can't help but make noise with every step. Worst hotel breakfast I've had in a long time - seriously guys please do better. Watery eggs and Mystery sausage. Not walking distance to restaurants so you'll need a car or delivery.

Tracy was outstanding—always helpful, welcoming, and smiling from the moment we arrived. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast had a great variety of options and was truly enjoyable. A wonderful stay at Tru by Hilton Grand Rapids Airport! Jada greeted us with her bright, welcoming smile that instantly made us feel at home. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and truly made our experience enjoyable. Came down to Grand Rapids stay for a couple days. And was greeted by the most delightful young lady at the front desk. Jada went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. She truly understands Hilton hospitality. The hotel is clean. The rooms are modern and nice. Would recommend highly.
